Basin privacy notice
Basin is a personal-finance analytics app. This product-specific notice supplements NOMOI's general privacy policy.
Transaction data
With your permission, Basin reads transaction notifications on your Android device and stores transaction history locally. It does not ask for your bank password or move money. Features that explicitly say they use an AI model may send the displayed input for that requested result.
Shared merchant insights
If you enable shared merchant insights, Basin contributes merchant and category corrections, metadata-only parser outcomes, and a coarse daily digest made from transaction counts and spending brackets. These pooled contributions do not include notification text or exact transaction amounts. Turning sharing off removes contributions owned by that Basin installation from the pool; if deletion cannot complete immediately, Basin retries it.
Product analytics
Basin uses Firebase Analytics to measure aggregate product events such as onboarding steps, feature use, installs and activation. Campaign attribution contains only three bounded labels: source, campaign and creative ID. Basin does not put transaction text, merchant names, amounts, email addresses, IP addresses, advertising click IDs or advocate identities into those campaign events.
Install attribution
Google Play may deliver an encoded install-referrer string after installation. Basin accepts only the source, campaign and creative labels described above, stores them on the device, and emits an install event and one activation event. Referral reward codes are processed separately. NOMOI compares aggregate click, install and activation counts by campaign; it does not claim a person-level click history from this mechanism.
Your choices
You can decline notification access, disable shared merchant insights, reset app data, or uninstall Basin. Disabling shared merchant insights also starts deletion of that installation's pooled contributions, with retry if the first attempt does not complete.
