WandType Privacy Policy

WandType is a keyboard app made by NOMOI LLC. This policy explains what WandType does with your information. It is written to be read, not to hide behind legal language.

The short version

WandType's core keyboard, local corrections, learned words, touch adaptation, and contact-name suggestions run on your phone. Cloud rewriting and automatic sentence correction are off until you turn on the cloud setting. Firebase Analytics is present: WandType's custom events contain aggregate interaction counts and settings, not typed text, while Firebase may also collect automatic app and device analytics and identifiers. WandType shows no ads and does not sell personal data.

What stays on your phone

Except for text processed after you enable the shared cloud setting, these stay on your device:

• Your keystrokes and text that the enabled wand or automatic correction paths do not process.
• The way you tap, which WandType uses to fit the keyboard to your hands.
• Words WandType learns that you use often, and small typo fixes it learns from your corrections.
• Contact names, if you allow the contacts permission. WandType reads them on your phone to improve name suggestions. It does not upload your contact list or send a name merely because contact access is enabled. A name typed inside text processed by the cloud setting can be included in that text.

Cloud rewriting

Cloud rewriting and automatic sentence correction share one setting and are off until you turn it on. When enabled, text from a wand tap and sentences WandType automatically checks (the current sentence, with limited preceding context) are sent to NOMOI's cloud service and its model provider to generate corrections.

• Before sending, WandType replaces some secret-shaped values with placeholders: Luhn-valid 13 to 19 digit card numbers, 4 to 8 digit codes near one-time-code keywords, IBANs, and long token-shaped strings. This reduces risk but does not guarantee that all sensitive data is removed. Password and credential fields are blocked separately.
• WandType does not store correction text in its application database. NOMOI's cloud proxy logs request metadata such as path, status, tag, timing and text length, not payload text. The model provider processes the text to return a correction; its retention practices are not verified by NOMOI.
• Each installation has a random token that our helper uses to recognise repeat requests and prevent abuse. It is not linked to your name or to an advertising identifier.
• The connection is encrypted.
• You can turn this feature off at any time, and the core keyboard keeps working without it.

Analytics and what WandType does not do

• No advertising in WandType and no sale of personal data to data brokers.
• Firebase Analytics may receive automatically generated app and device data and identifiers under Google's controls. When Share aggregate typing counts is on, WandType also sends a custom daily event containing bracketed correction, backspace and session counts plus language, layout and setting buckets. That custom event does not include typed text. Turning the setting off stops the custom event; it does not disable all automatic Firebase collection.

Deleting your information

The learned words and settings live on your phone. Clearing WandType's data in your phone's Settings removes them. For NOMOI cloud-proxy token or request metadata and Firebase analytics access or deletion questions, contact [email protected]. NOMOI can act on systems it controls but cannot promise deletion of model-provider copies while that provider's retention practices remain unverified.

Children

WandType is not directed at children.
